I offer therapy for women and parents navigating the unique challenges of raising children with additional needs. As a fellow carer, I understand how important it is to feel seen and supported. Together, we’ll explore ways for you to find calm amidst the chaos, so you can care for yourself while caring for others.

This doesn't have to be your traditional therapy, we can sit and chat over a cup of tea or coffee, take a walk, do some art or craft while talking. We can meet in the Therapy rooms, at your home or elsewhere.

I also offer training and resources to help support your parenting journey with your children.

You don’t have to do this alone—reach out, I’m here to help.

Therapeutic Play
Play is the Natural Language of Children

Now, here’s the fun part of counselling children: Play is a child's language, it’s how they explore the world, express big feelings, and make sense of their experiences. Whether it’s through building, role-playing, drawing, sand tray, art, journalling or movement—play is their natural language. That’s why I use therapeutic play as a key part of our counselling sessions. It’s a gentle, powerful way for kids to process emotions, build resilience, and connect—all while feeling safe, understood, and, most importantly, having fun.

Therapy Sessions
My Approach

With over 30 years of experience working with children and teens, my approach is deeply rooted in understanding what helps them feel safe, seen, and supported. I use a neuro-affirming, child-centred approach that’s always aligned with your family’s values.

I know that kids open up and begin to thrive when their nervous system feels calm and regulated. That’s why I’ve created a space filled with play, sensory experiences, and art—so children can express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. It’s in these moments that I can truly join them in their world, help them explore what they’re feeling and needing, and gently support them (and you) in finding what’s underneath the behaviour.

Together, we’ll work on strategies that meet those needs and help bring more calm into the beautiful chaos of parenting. Because play is a child’s first language, it’s at the heart of everything I do.

I'm a member of the Australian Counselling Association and Behaviour Support Practitioners Australia, and I'm so passionate about creating a space where your child feels understood, and your family feels supported. Click here to learn more about my approach.

About me

Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Counsellor, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, who's focus area is in counselling children. I am a mum of three incredible neuro-divergent kids. With over 20 years’ experience working with children, who are highly-senstitive or feel anxious and also with children through to teens who are Autistic, have ADHD, and with lived experience within my own family network, I bring a deeply compassionate, neuro-affirming and trauma informed approach to my work. I love my job because I love helping kids and families who feel adrift. As well as working with children I work with parents and caregivers to support them emotionally and  with strategies to support their parenting journey.
